Do you have a model home?
Yes, we have a beautiful model home with all kinds of great ideas! We have Open House from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM on Saturday and 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM on Sunday, with scheduled appointments during the week. How long will it take to build my new home?
We specialize in genuine custom homes, which take longer to build. You truly get to customize your entire home, from the floor plan to everything that goes in it. Once the blueprints are finished, the loan is in place, (depending on the size of your new home, the features you choose, weather, and other factors), we normally estimate the building process to be 6-9 months or longer.[top]
What are Electra Custom Homes standard features?
Electra Custom Homes does not have any standard features. We sit down with you and ask a series of questions to find out what it is you want in your new home and what features are important to you and your family. With these questions answered, and a set of blueprints, we will work up a budget for your home.[top]
What price range of home do you build?
We can build starting from the high $100’s to millions.[top]
What is your price per square foot?
The price of our homes start in the $70 per square foot range, and can extend to $170 per square foot or more. It really depends on the prep cost of building and the features you want in your new home.A nice custom home with nice features is normally running about $110 per square foot. Keep in mind, there are many variables that go into every new home budget.

Do I have to own my own land?
Electra specializes in “build on your lot” ,so if you already own your own land that’s great. If not, there are many custom neighborhoods that we can build in, as well as, we can search available listings for land currently on the market for you.How do I get started? Just call us for a free, no obligation appointment and we can sit down and brainstorm out some ideas to help us design a plan that is just right for your family.

What do I need to bring to this "getting started appointment"?
Anything and everything you would like us to see. If you have a floor plan you like or several plans, pictures, ideas, survey of your property,and/or a list of things you would like in your new home, bring them!. All these things are helpful ,but if you don’t have any of them just come on over. We have books, and with over 20 years of experience ,we also have lots of ideas. Remember, there is no obligation ~ this is a free consultation where you meet directly with the builders.[top]

Am I required to use your lender?
Certainly not, you can use any lender you like. Choosing from our list simply helps things run smoother and faster since we already have an established relationship with these companies.[top]
Once Your Home Process Has Started
How long does the blueprint design process for my new home take?
Normally 1-2 months.[top]
When is it ok to visit my new home?
You are welcome to visit your new home anytime. While construction crews are working, its normally best to stay out of their way. If you have a question , be sure to direct it to your builder and not distract the contractors working on your new home. Remember to always keep safety in mind as your new home is a dangerous construction site![top]
Can I hire a new home inspector?
Absolutely! We are proud of every home we build and welcome inspectors.[top]
What should I expect in the construction process?
You’ll enjoy taking lots of photos for your scrapbook while your new home is being built. There are several scheduled meetings with your builder throughout the process as it is important to keep communication high. And feel free to call us anytime with questions or to request a meeting.[top]
When can we move in?
When your home is near completion ,you will meet with your builder for a final presentation. Once all items are complete, your homeowners insurance is in place, and all mortgage company documents are finalized , you may move into your new home.[top]
What about warranties?
Electra Custom Homes covers most things for one year. Also, manufacturers have their own warranty, which are normally left in a kitchen drawer in your new home. Electra homes do come with a 10 year structural warranty. For specific details, please refer to your warranty manual, as not all things are covered under warranty. A warranty booklet is available by request anytime.[top]
